Coleman Norris
My name is Coleman Norris. My parents are Greg and Jerilyn, and I have three siblings: Cash, Camrie, and Cooper. I live on a ranch just outside of Oyen. Our ranch includes cows, horses, ducks, chickens, cats, and a dog. I love country life and hope to take over or own my own ranch someday. I enjoy helping with all the aspects of farm life, and over the past few years, I have helped numerous neighbours with whatever they need.
I am also a very active volunteer at the Big Country Ag Society, United Church, and Big Country Rod and Gun Club. People know that if a job needs to be done, they can call me because I do not shy away from hard work. I plan to attend college next year and take an agriculture program that will help me succeed in farming and ranching.
I enjoy spending time with friends, fishing, hunting, and snowmobiling. I have been an active member of the East Sounding Creek 4-H Beef Club for the past eight years. For the last three years, I have served as club reporter and have submitted several articles to the Oyen Echo about 4-H events. I have had many projects over the years, and I will miss the club when I finish this year.
I have attended school in Oyen my entire life. I went to Oyen Public School from kindergarten to Grade 6 and South Central High School from Grades 7 to 12. During these years, I enjoyed curling and badminton. I am excited to move on to the next chapter and confident that my experiences on the ranch, in 4-H, and at school will help me grow and succeed as an adult.
