Fun League season wraps up at Oyen Curling Club

By Jackie Dick

The Fun League wrapped up for another season at the Oyen and District Curling Club, concluding 13 weeks of recreational curling that began in November.

Nine teams took part in the league, which provided an opportunity for beginner curlers to learn the game while also giving recreational players a chance to enjoy the sport in a relaxed setting.

On the final night of play, curlers brought appetizers to share following the games, marking the end of the season with food and fellowship.

Throughout the winter there were good shots, some missed opportunities and plenty of laughs, reflecting the fun and camaraderie that the league is known for.

Organizers say they hope to see everyone back at the club next season.
