Timothy Lawson

Our beloved Timothy (Tim) Lawson passed away on March 24, 2026 at the age of 80 years after a long and difficult journey with dementia. He is lovingly remembered by his wife Lois; son Michael; daughters Jane (Shannon) and Kirsten; daughter-in-law Jessica; grandchildren Jacob and Brianna; brothers Wayne (Barb) and Robin (Nora); nieces Tessa (Rick) and Judy (Dave); great nieces Madilyn, Barbra and Celestina; great nephews Brock and Luca; many dear cousins including Ross (JoAnn) and a community of faithful friends. Tim was predeceased by his parents Henry and Eunice, and his nephew Lucas.  

Tim grew up in rural Alberta and left Cereal for Calgary to join the Alberta Wheat Pool in the Information Technology Department.  He later launched a second career in retail with Safeway Canada and Retail Marketing Solutions.

Tim was an avid sportsman and a longtime member of the Calgary Curling Club (Past President) and the Strathmore Golf Club. 

Tim was devoted to his family and friends, and treasured every moment spent with them. 

The family wishes to acknowledge the outstanding and compassionate care given to Tim by the angelic staff of Bethany Riverview. 

Funeral Services and reception will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home (Arbor Chapel, 1605 100 Street S.E., Calgary) on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at 10:00 a.m.   Interment to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
