Taytum Wilson

My full name is Taytum Rhianna Wilson, but you might also know me as Tayters, Tayterbugs, or even Tater Tots if you’re close family. I am the oldest daughter of three to Travis and Daena Wilson and the older sister to Treyton and Briar. I began school at Oyen Public School from preschool to Grade 6 and South Central High School for Grades 7 to 12. At the early age of three, I started dancing at the Wilson School of Dance Studio, where I was lucky to learn and grow as a dancer with my auntie as my teacher. One thing about me is I love being with my friends, whether that means we are driving circles around Oyen, going to an Eagles game, or driving to the city to spend our money on things we do not need. I am incredibly grateful for the support system of family and extended family I have had beside me. Growing up in a small town taught me to make the most of what I have, and now that I have a license, I have definitely learned to keep myself busy. As I move into this next chapter of my life, I hope to succeed in the next section of my post-secondary education and work towards being a speech-language pathologist. I want to work with kids and make a positive impact on their speech and confidence. I am excited to see where this journey takes me and the new challenges and paths I will have to conquer. If I can leave anything behind for the students younger than me, I would say take your school years seriously and do not take the memories you make for granted as they go by very fast.
