Jacob Halvorson

I am Jacob Halvorson, the son of Luke and Amanda Halvorson. I have one sister, Emma Halvorson. I am from Beaumont, Alberta, but I was born in Surrey, British Columbia.

I am a multi-sport athlete. I play baseball, hockey, and golf, and I also play basketball as the all-star shooting guard on the Scorpions team. In the summer, I enjoy working and making money alongside my mom’s cousin in house framing. 

My favourite season is summer because I get to play baseball and spend time with friends. Throughout my life, I have moved to four different cities, starting in Surrey, then Langley, British Columbia, followed by Rimbey, and finally Beaumont, Alberta, where I have lived for most of my life. 

Most of my schooling has been completed in Beaumont, and my favourite school trip was our Grade 9 camping trip to Jasper. Moving to a smaller town like Oyen has changed the way I see the world. The transition from living in the city to a small town was easier than expected, and I have enjoyed my time here in Oyen.
