Avery Girletz

My name is Avery Leighton Girletz. I am the oldest child of Leslie and Wyatt Girletz, with two younger brothers, Beckham and Lennix. I have lived in Oyen my whole life on a farm outside of town.

I attended Oyen Public School from pre-kindergarten to Grade 6 and then South Central High School from Grades 7 to 12. I spend lots of my free time playing sports. I have danced with Breaking Ground since I was 18 months old and now participate in seven dances while also assisting younger groups. 

I played on two softball teams with my close friends, where I gained the nickname "Sassy Pants" or “Sassy P” for short. I also played on the school volleyball team. Most of the time, I enjoy spending time with my friends in town or driving around listening to music. At school, I can usually be found with Emerson, who is one of my closest friends. 

After I graduate, I plan to attend Medicine Hat College for two years and begin working towards my bachelor of science degree. I will then transfer to the University of Lethbridge to complete the final two years and later attend the University of Alberta in Edmonton to pursue dentistry. My goal is to specialize in orthodontics and eventually complete my studies after a billion years of university. 

I also hope to travel a bit and experience more of the world. In the end, my goal is to be successful and happy.
