Ava Jacques

My full name is Ava Nicole Jaques, but I am known as “Avacado.” I was born on December 27, 2008, in Brooks, Alberta, to Byron and Tanya Jaques. I have two sisters, one older and one younger. I have lived on a farm in Buffalo, Alberta, my whole life. 

I started pre-kindergarten with the Jenner Playgroup and attended Jenner School from kindergarten to Grade 9. I then attended South Central High School from Grades 10 to 12. 

I joined 4-H when I was eight years old, and I have been involved for nine years, having completed both the food and market lamb projects. I enjoy sports such as badminton and skiing. I started playing badminton when I was young and continued throughout my school years until Grade 12. I have also been skiing every winter with my family since I was little. Some of my favourite memories include visiting family in Saskatchewan during the summer and traveling overseas with my family. One of my favourite school memories was going on the Belize trip last year. 

After graduation, I plan to attend a college commerce program and then transfer to a university to complete my degree. I aspire to become an accountant.
