UFA Foundation awards $100,000 to rural communities

The UFA Agricultural Community Foundation has announced the 2025 recipients of its Rural Communities Grant Program. Five organizations will share $100,000 to support projects that enhance education, recreation and culture in agricultural communities.

Since its launch, the program has awarded $700,000 to initiatives that strengthen rural life.

“This year’s projects reflect the heart and spirit of rural Alberta,” said Kimberly MacDonald, senior manager, community impact.

Recipients include:

  • Pincher Creek Curling Club – $40,000 for a new curling facility.

  • Buffalo Coulee Community Club – $20,000 for roof repairs.

  • Radway Agricultural Society – $20,000 for Agri-Centre roof repairs.

  • Fundraising Society of the Rolling Hills School – $10,000 for an Agricultural Academy Barn.

  • Agriculture Charter School Society (Strathmore area) – $10,000 for a school barn.

“These grants are a catalyst for connection and community pride,” said UFA Foundation Advisory Board Chair Kevin Hoppins.
