Oyen Public School celebrates the Olympics

OYEN — Oyen Public School wrapped up its 2026 Winter Olympics this week, capping off several days of spirited competition, teamwork and school-wide celebration.

From the opening events to the final activities, students demonstrated resilience, determination and outstanding sportsmanship. Participants competed across a variety of events, earning well-deserved victories and showcasing their talents.

Organizers say the true highlight of the week, however, was the strong sense of unity and encouragement displayed throughout the school. Students cheered one another on, worked together and embodied the values of teamwork and school pride.

Staff credited the success of the event to the collective efforts of students, teachers, support staff and volunteers who helped plan and run the activities.

“The energy, smiles and teamwork we witnessed over these days are what truly made our Winter Olympics special,” organizers said.

The school extended congratulations to all participants and winners, noting that the event was a memorable finish to a week filled with achievement and community spirit.
