Drumheller man charged with sexual offences

Drumheller RCMP have charged a local businessman with sexual offences following an investigation into assaults that occurred over several years.

Police say the investigation began Aug. 13, 2025, after a victim came forward alleging a series of sexual assaults that took place while they were a youth. The accused, 59-year-old Bernard Germain, was the victim’s employer at a local business.

Germain faces charges of sexual assault and sexual interference. He was scheduled to appear in Alberta Court of Justice in Drumheller on Oct. 17, 2025.

RCMP say the investigation is ongoing and they believe there may be additional victims. Authorities are asking anyone with information about similar incidents to contact Drumheller RCMP at 403-823-2630, or their local police.
