Christ the Redeemer Catholic Schools Bids Farewell to Michael Kilcommons
Christ the Redeemer Catholic Schools is expressing gratitude to Associate Superintendent Michael Kilcommons of the Catholic Education Centre and offering best wishes on his upcoming retirement.
Kilcommons is set to retire in June. The division thanked him for his years of service and dedication.
Kilcommons has held a variety of roles in the division, beginning as a teacher before moving into vice-principal and principal positions at several schools. He joined the Catholic Education Centre in May 2011.
“Having been part of this division since its inception in 1990, I have been fortunate to spend more than 35 years of my 40-year career working alongside dedicated colleagues in the CTR community, and that has meant a great deal to me,” Kilcommons said. “It has been a privilege to contribute to the mission of Catholic education and to support the students, staff, and families we serve. I am deeply grateful for the opportunities, experiences, and relationships that have shaped my time here, and I know that I will miss my colleagues dearly.”
Superintendent Dr. Andrea Holowka said Kilcommons’ service has “spanned decades, communities, schools, and lives. His steady integrity, dedication, and commitment to Catholic education is deeply appreciated and will be sincerely missed. Like many who have been shaped by his leadership, I am thankful for his service and pray God’s blessings upon him in the next chapter of his journey.”
The division closed the tribute with a blessing: “May the Lord bless you and keep you; may the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; may the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.”
