Rylan Skappak

My name is Rylan Skappak; my friends and classmates call me Skap, Skappak, or Ry. I started kindergarten at Warren Peers School in Acadia Valley and then later came to South Central High School in Grade 9. I grew up on a farm with my parents, Chad and Tami, and my two brothers, Reese and Connor. 

My favourite pastime is hunting. When I cannot hunt, I enjoy welding and working on projects in the shop. My love for sports began at the age of four when I started my first dance class. I spent my winters playing recreational hockey in the Valley and rodeo on the weekends and my summers playing softball. My biggest achievement in sports was placing second for javelin at Calgary Zones. I spent many years in the Bindloss 4-H club and countless hours volunteering for events in the Valley. I always kept myself busy with a part-time job and cleaning houses, and now I spend most of my time working as a healthcare aide in Oyen, which I plan on taking forward to nursing. My future goals are to travel the world and live on a big farm with lots of animals.
