Joshua Rolheiser

I am the youngest of five children and proudly claim the role of "little brother” to Noah, John, Sam, and Ashley. Born and raised in Oyen, it has always been the place that feels like home to me. My favourite place in the world is anywhere I get to be with my siblings, whether that is at home, on the road, or out on a ball field. My second love—baseball—started early. Even as a toddler standing in my “ExerSaucer,” I would watch the Toronto Blue Jays with complete focus. My passion grew in the backyard, where wiffleball games with my older siblings were intense, competitive, and unforgettable. I spent countless hours following them around during spring and summer ball seasons, dreaming of the day I would get to play just like they did. In Grade 9, I joined the Badlands Badgers Academy, a turning point in both my development and confidence as a player. With a small but tight-knit roster, I found mentors in my teammates and coaches. Through the academy, I also gained three more “brothers”—Pacey, Gary, and Ayden—who lived with my family and became a meaningful part of my life. Throughout my baseball journey, I have been supported by many teams, coaches, friends, and community members. I am grateful for everyone who helped guide me through my challenging times and celebrate the wins alongside me. As I prepare for graduation, I am excited for the next chapter of my baseball adventure at Williston State College in North Dakota.
