The Community Foundation of Southeastern Alberta witnessed a sold-out crowd on October 10 at Medalta in the Historic Clay District for the inaugural Top 7 Over 70 – Southeast Alberta Gala.

The congregations of the Oyen United Church and Evangelical Missionary Church collected food donations over the Thanksgiving weekend for the Oyen & District Food Bank.

The Rack hosted a Customer Appreciation Barbecue October 16 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 313 Railway Avenue East, Oyen.

Hello, everyone. It was National Fire Prevention week. Thank you to all our local and surrounding Fire Departments and volunteers for keeping us all safe.

Ken Nichols stopped by for a visit at the Oyen Lodge and was presented with his 90th Birthday certificate last week.

Jacalyn Poncelet joined Prairie Rose Public School (PRPS) this year as principal at New Brigden School and knew from her first day there she’d made the right decision in taking the position.

Jordon Christianson, current Chair of the Special Areas Board, has announced that he will not be seeking reappointment as Chair once his current appointment expires in September 2025.

Thirteen members enjoyed a delicious potluck meal, and 12 people remained for the meeting on October 2. Lynda called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM.
