WestMET Community Fund provides nearly $19,000 for four community initiatives
HANNA — Four organizations serving Hanna, Youngstown and Special Areas #2 are receiving a combined $18,730 through the WestMET Community Fund.
The annual renewable energy grant program, administered by the Community Foundation of Southeastern Alberta, supports community projects that strengthen organizations and improve services across the region.
This year's recipients are:
Alberta NWT Command, Hanna Legion Branch No. 25 received $5,000 for building renovations.
Empress Friendship Centre received $2,536 for window coverings through its Vibrant Communities project.
Roots of Empathy received $6,194 for its Building Resilience Through Emotional Literacy and Well-being Program.
Sagesse Domestic Violence Prevention Society received $5,000 for peer support programs in Hanna and Youngstown.
The WestMET Community Fund is one of two renewable energy grant programs administered by the Community Foundation of Southeastern Alberta and provides annual funding for projects that enhance community well-being across the region.
