Oyen Lodge: Welcome March, for bringing us longer days

Hello everyone. A few more days of winter — with snow and wind — greeted us again as we welcome March.

Shirley Vanstone celebrated her 98th birthday on February 28.

Monday started with a Phase Ten card game and bingo in the afternoon. Tuesday morning featured exercises, Phase Ten card playing and the regular bus run downtown for shopping. Catholic Church, led by Father Rodell, was held at 10:30 a.m.

Wednesday morning began with church with Brad, followed by card games and shuffleboard in the afternoon. Thursday included exercises and Phase Ten card games, and then shuffleboard in the afternoon. Maximum Hearing was at the Lodge from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. In the afternoon, there was card bingo.

Happy 98th birthday to Shirley Vanstone on Feb. 28. Happy birthday to Sandra Woytkiw on March 2.

On March 5, Personal Touch Clothing will be at the Lodge from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. World Day of Prayer will be held at the Lodge on March 6 at 10:30 a.m.

Remember to turn your clocks ahead one hour on March 8 for Daylight Saving Time.
