CASTOR — A 48-year-old Castor man is facing several charges after an RCMP investigation into allegations of sexual assaults dating back more than a decade.

Coronation RCMP say they received a complaint on Jan. 10, 2024, regarding a series of assaults that were alleged to have begun around 2008. With assistance from Consort RCMP and the RCMP’s K Division Sexual Assault Review Team, investigators identified a second victim and believe there may be others who have not yet come forward.

Darcy Falkenberg has been charged with two counts each of sexual exploitation, sexual assault and sexual interference, as well as assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, break and enter with intent to commit assault, uttering threats and possession of child pornography.

Police say Falkenberg appeared before a justice of the peace and was released on conditions. He is scheduled to appear in Coronation provincial court on Dec. 12, 2025.

RCMP are urging anyone who believes they were a victim, or knows someone who may have been, to contact Coronation RCMP at 403-578-3666 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477.
