Applications now open for CFSEA’s 2026 Community Impact Award
MEDICINE HAT - The Community Foundation of Southeastern Alberta is now accepting applications for its 2026 Community Impact Award, an annual program that supports innovative, community-driven projects across the region.
The award provides a one-time grant of $35,000 to registered charities and non-profit organizations proposing bold initiatives that go beyond day-to-day operations. CFSEA says the award is intended for projects that address significant community needs and demonstrate long-term impact, collaboration and sustainability.
Last year’s Community Impact Award was granted to McMan Youth, Family & Community Services (South Region) to support the development of the Kickstand youth hub in Medicine Hat, including improvements to its kitchen space.
Applications must support projects serving one or more of the following areas: Medicine Hat and District; Brooks and District (County of Newell); Special Areas 2, 3 and 4 and the Municipal District of Acadia; Cypress County; and the County of Forty Mile.
The grant cycle opened Jan. 5, 2026, at 12 p.m., with full applications due Feb. 6, 2026, at 4:30 p.m.
CFSEA says submissions will be reviewed through a competitive process, with final funding decisions subject to approval by its board of directors.
More information on eligibility and application guidelines is available through CFSEA’s Community Impact Award web page.
