Alberta RCMP participates in National Police Week 2025

EDMONTON - Sunday, May 11, 2025 marked the start of National Police Week. This week-long public awareness campaign, hosted by the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police, encourages increased awareness and understanding between police and the communities they serve.

This year’s theme is #CommittedToServeTogether, a chance to not only acknowledge the crucial partnerships that make up the Alberta RCMP, but also the partnerships between the Alberta RCMP and other police agencies and first responders, as well as between the Alberta RCMP and the communities served. The collaboration within these relationships forms the cornerstone of effective crime prevention and public safety initiatives.

As a part of National Police Week 2025, detachments across the province will be hosting a number of events, open houses, coffees with a cop, and other initiatives to connect with community members.

The Alberta RCMP is committed to fostering open dialogue, understanding, and mutual respect in order to maintain safe, inclusive communities where everyone feels valued and protected. This week, and every week, your Alberta RCMP is proud to affirm that it is #CommittedToServeTogether.
