Alberta minister to strengthen energy ties in Montana

Alberta’s Minister of Affordability and Utilities, Nathan Neudorf, will travel to Montana from Jan. 6 to 7 to attend the Montana Chamber of Commerce’s annual Business Days at the Capitol.

Neudorf will deliver a keynote address and meet with elected officials, business leaders, and policy experts to explore cross-border collaboration on power grid reliability, infrastructure challenges, and energy innovation.

“Meeting rising electricity demands means looking beyond our borders,” Neudorf said. “Powering up our electrical ties with Montana is about building a strong foundation for shared energy security, while ensuring that the electricity Albertans depend on remains reliable and affordable for generations.”

The visit also aims to promote Alberta as a destination for investors and innovators in the province’s electricity market and emerging industries such as data centres and nuclear energy.
