Acadia Municipal Library: July Renovation

The library will be closed to the public for the month of July for renovation. All scheduled events that month are cancelled or postponed. Watch our Facebook page or website for updates. Sorry for the short notice.

The Summer Reading program will take place in the library on the following date from 2:30 till 3:30 p.m. August 6, 13 & 20. There will be Stories, Crafts, Snacks, Prizes and Fun for children of all ages. All young children must be accompanied by a responsible care giver.
We will also have the Summer Reading Contest for the kids to compete to win prizes by reading the most minutes. Weekly prizes will be awarded during the Summer Reading Program sessions you must attend to receive prize. However, the grand prize will be awarded at the start of the new school year. If you will be unable to get to the library this summer, you can still qualify for the grand prize. You can pick up a reading log at the library anytime now. Weekly prizes for the month of July will be awarded during Summer reading session on Aug 6.
The library will continue Movie Night event into the summer. We invite you to join us on Aug 18 to watch Super Mario Bros the Movie. Viewing will last from 3:30 until 5pm, Snacks will be provided.
New Brochures have arrived at the library; all information is now up to date.
The following new books have been added to our shelves:
Adult Fiction: The Last Page by Katie Holt, Lights Out by Navessa Allen, and Brimstone by Callie Hart.
Graphic Novel: I Survived The Great Molasses Flood, 1919 by Lauren Tarshis.
Picture Books: Nice Work by Nicholas Day, The Fluffy Futon by Yuichi Kassno, and What If? by Tom Schamp.
Board Books: Hide and Seek Baby Shark.
